PET-P (Polyethylene Terephthalate)

PET-P is a high strength material with very good chemical resistance. It has very good creep resistance, and excellent wear properties in both wet and dry environments. PET-P exhibits virtually no moisture absorption, very low thermal expansion rates, and low levels of inherent stress. This makes the material ideal for tight tolerance parts in a variety of environments.

PET-P shapes can be produced by utilizing Extrusion and Injection Molding methods. Another Polyester, PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate) is also available. PBT has reduced strength and temperature range, but is less expensive and easier to Injection Mold.
